Masnick recounts a surreal incident in which Chris Dodd, former U.S. Senator (D-Connecticut) but acting as a lobbyist for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), appeared on Fox News to threaten that contributions would be withdrawn from politicians who failed to vote for legislation favored by the MPAA.
