Krugman documents rapidly increasing economic inequality in the USA, the majority of which is going to a tiny minority of the population (the top 0.1%), the majority of whom are not job-creating entrepreneurs, but financiers, corporate executives, lawyers, or real estate professionals. He warns that “extreme concentration of income is incompatible with real democracy.”
